I design this lens with the meatloaf enthusiast in mind. Here you will find my favorite recipe plus a myriad of other great meatloaf recipes. Best Ever Meatloaf Recipe

Wbisbill's Best Ever Meat Loaf Recipe - Spicy, Cheesy, Delicious

3 pounds lean hamburger (see note 1 below)
1 pound ground medium spicy sausage (see note 2 below)
7 slices lean bacon
½ to ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups crushed Kellogg's® Crispix® cereal (see note 3 below)
2 large eggs - beaten
1 large white onion, diced
1 large bulb dried garlic crushed
1 large green bell pepper diced (see note 4 below)
1 teaspoon ground kayan pepper (see note 5 below)
1 (10-ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup ketchup
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard (see note 6 below)
1/2 cup ketchup

Preheat oven to 350*F (175*C).
mix all the above ingredients, except for the 1/2 cup ketchup, in a large mixing bowl.
Spread the 1/2 cup ketchup in the bottom of a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Shape meat loaf and place in the prepared baking pan. Lay the bacon strips on top of the meat loaf.
Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Immediately Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top
Allow meat loaf to sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Makes 12 servings.

NOTES:

For even better results use ground chuck
Options: hamburger; ground chuck, mild or hot sausage, either may be substituted.
Options: 1 cup Kellogg's® Rice Krispies; or 1 ½ cups Corn flakes
For different spicy levels experiment with different peppers)
Optional
OR, 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
